During the Upload VR 2022 Winter Showcase, Univrs announced that Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakablea new game inspired by the manga’s universe, is coming next summer on Meta Quest 2. Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will feature both single-player and co-op modes, with the solo campaign letting players fight to regain control of the city, slashing titans along the way. Players will be members of Attack on Titan The scout regiment uses a wide range of weapons to defeat the large man-eating titans that threaten their home. Univrs should reveal more details about the co-op mode and general gameplay to Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable in the coming months.

The teaser trailer for Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable didn’t show any glimpses of gameplay or a movie to introduce Attack on Titan history. It only mentions that the goal of the game is to “protect the future of humanity” and “eliminate the Titan threat.” What exactly this premise entails remains a mystery, as Univrs didn’t share any more information about the game through its teaser trailer. Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will feature Japanese and English voiceovers and subtitles when released sometime in summer 2023.

Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is not the first video game set in Attack on Titan universe. In 2016, Omega Force teamed up with Koei Tecmo to publish Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom, an action hack-and-slash game that retells key moments from the manga. Another game, called Attack on Titan: Team Battle, focused more on capturing the feeling of swinging around with the omnidirectional mobility gear used by the characters in the manga. Unfortunately, Attack on Titan: Team Battle was canceled by Capcom due to the developer’s inability to provide “unparalleled immersion” in the game.
