This is how you remove brown stains from oven glass “easily” with “cheap” kitchen staples
Cleaning the oven glass is an important aspect of keeping the unit in good condition. At the end of the day, every splash, spill and mishap that occurs in the kitchen stays in the oven – and especially on the oven glass – until you clean it properly. Since you can’t clean the inside of a hot oven, the mess is forgotten when you finish dinner and the oven cools down. As a result, dirt, grease and grime can quickly accumulate and be a nightmare to get off. Luckily, Mrs Hinch fans have taken to social media to share their best tips for cleaning oven glasses.
A woman posted on Mrs Hinch’s cleaning tips Facebook page, asking for tips on how to remove “burnt grease” from the oven door. Veronica Hooper said: “Tips for cleaning burnt grease from a glass oven door.”
Of the 126 comments left on the post, the majority said that a dishwasher detergent is all that is needed to clean the glass.
Carrie Leiper said: “Dishwasher tablet. Dip in warm water and rub it on the door. I was skeptical, but it’s brilliant.”
Sharon Doyle Lapierre commented: “Love dishwasher tablets. Soak the tablet in a little boiling hot water, spread it on the door and leave it for a while and dry it off.”

Dishwasher tablets are made from concentrated washing-up liquid and promise to cut through tough grease and leave dishes sparkling.
In addition, the hard powder tablets have an abrasive surface that helps to scrub away stubborn stains, but is gentle enough not to scratch the oven glass.
Dishwasher tablets are also reasonably priced, as a pack of 30 can be bought from Asda for £3. This works out as 1p per tablet. Brits can also buy the powder tablets from Wilko for a pack of 40 for £3.
Other Mrs Hinch fans suggested either using dish soap alone or combining it with baking soda.

Christine Everiss commented: “Baking soda and washing-up liquid to make a paste, then apply and leave for 20 minutes. Then use a non-scratch scrubber and clean without the need for scrubbing.”
Muna Ahmed wrote: “A cup of baking soda, add a quarter cup of dish soap and a dash of water. Mix well and apply over layer for 2 hours and will look brand new.”
Sally Hutchins added: “Mix baking soda and washing-up liquid into a smooth paste. Apply and leave for about 30 minutes or so, then wipe off. Fantastic.”
