Christmas baubles and decorations become more intricate and sophisticated every year, with many great options available to purchase from many retailers across the country.
And while that’s all well and good, there’s nothing wrong with recycling some of last year’s Christmas decorations and adding a little spice to mix it up and make it look fresh – and we’re ready for a DIY Christmas decorating project.

TikTok user, Macy Blackwell (@macy.blackwell (opens in a new tab)) has built up quite a following of 1.5 million followers by specializing in providing audiences with vacation home decorating tips and tricks. In this particular hack, she shows us how to easily make bullet clusters and says that “all you need is a pipe cleaner” – which you can buy in a pack for as little as £1 on Amazon (opens in a new tab).
She demonstrates the hack (opens in a new tab) by grabbing three orbs and looping them into a single pipe cleaner. She then ties the two loose ends of the pipe cleaner tightly, then demonstrates how easily it can be attached to your tree.
Macy encourages those who want to try out the hack for themselves to “add as many as you like! You can use different sizes and colors for visual interest!’ If you’re worried about going overboard, you can always turn to a Christmas tree decoration calculator to give you a hand.
