Black Friday offers some of the year’s deepest discounts on all kinds of technology products – and apps are no exception. If you’ve been waiting to buy something expensively paid, it’s worth it takes another look this week. It might be the perfect time to hit “Buy”.

Below, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite apps currently available with a discount. Many of these apps are good enough to be worth the full price, making these holiday bargains even sweeter.

Affinity Suite: A great Photoshop alternative

Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher are among the best alternatives to Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign apps, respectively. Affinity lets you pay once and keeps these apps until the next major version update. Many people prefer this model to the fixed subscription fee that Adobe charges.

Pixelmator Pro is another excellent Photoshop alternative for macOS. The app has almost everything you need to edit your photos, and it will serve you well as long as you only edit on your Mac. It is available for $20 (regular price $40).

Acorn is a beautiful image editor for macOS. Its appeal lies in its ease of use: If you are new to image editing, Acorn is e.geasy to get started, and yet that packs enough features to meet your needs for a long time. It is goes for $20 via the Unclutter app bundle sale. Regular price is $40.

TextSniper lets you extract text from photos on your Mac more seamlessly than the operating system’s native tools (and without the need for an upgrade). It is fast, easy and reliable. You can use the coupon code TSBFG2022 to buy the app for just under $5 (regular price $8).

If you are a manual photography enthusiast, Halide is a must-try The iPhone app. It allows you to control the shutter speed, exposure, ISO and aperture of the iPhone camera. The app is also pretty good at handling RAW images, and it even unlocks certain portrait modes on older iPhones. The app costs $12 per year, but you can get two months free (and without paying anything) during Halide’s Black Friday sale.

NotchCamThe news is lets you hide the MacBook Pro’s camera notch. It also lets you get a quick preview of the camera if you click in the part of the screen behind the notch. The app is free for Black Friday.

The same developer also makes Thrush, which is a neat third-party app for Apple Music that we’ve previously recommended. You can get it for $3 (regular price $7).

If you are constantly frustrated by websites that block the ability to copy or paste, or if you want to a Safari extension that can fix a lot of broken things on websites, then StopTheMadness is for you. Food apps

Some of the best iPhone food related apps are also on sale. Our favorites are:

  • Paprika is an excellent recipe manager app. It’s currently 40% off across all platforms.
  • Croutons is an excellent cooking app for iOS and Mac. The free version allows you to save 10 recipes, and you can pay a one-time fee of $3 (regular price $17) to remove the limit if you purchase within 24 hours of installation.
  • Soosee allows you to quickly scan ingredient labels to identify allergens. The lifetime subscription is currently $6 (80% off).

Useful Mac App Packages
