Optimize Microsoft Apps in Windows 11 with CCleaner 6.06

Did you know you can use CCleaner to optimize your apps on Windows 11? This is how.

CCleaner provides an easy way to manage cookies, files and temporary data on your computer. The update to CCleaner version 6.06 introduced some additional useful features specific to Windows 11, making it even easier to keep your PC running smoothly and safely.

Is CCleaner safe?

CCleaner was the go-to tool for cleaning up Windows utilities for a long time. But starting in 2017, shortly after Piriform was acquired by antivirus giant Avast, it started to run into problems.

First, the 32-bit installer was hacked, resulting in a Trojan virus being delivered during the installation process. After this was fixed, Avast introduced a monitoring and reporting option to the software, which could be disabled in the settings. Unfortunately, it was found that the reporting tool often restarted without permission. And these weren’t the only problems CCleaner users encountered.

Fast forward to today and it would be fair to ask: Is CCleaner safe to use? The previous security and privacy issues have been fixed, and there do not appear to have been any serious breaches in recent years. While some might argue that registry cleaners don’t make much of a difference, it should be considered safe to use in 2022.
