This mom shared the most genius hack for taking photos with the little ones, especially if you or your kids are camera shy!
Chantelle Kerr (@chantellemkerr) is a parent and TikToker who shares videos about her adorable toddler and experiences as a mother. In a recent video, Chantelle admitted that she’s a bit camera-shy, but still wants to take pictures of herself with her toddler. Then she shared that she came up with a hack to take perfect family photos.
The video begins with Chantelle walking on screen and standing in the middle of her kitchen. “This is a reminder to all my moms or to anyone else out there who wants to take pictures of themselves but gets awkward or uncomfortable when other people take pictures,” Chantelle says in a voiceover.
Chantelle’s toddler runs on screen while her mother talks. The toddler grabs her mother’s hands and places her feet on her knees. “Set up your camera,” Chantelle says as she kneels down and grabs the toddler by the shoulders. “I like to use a cinema mode so it blurs the background.”
Chantelle gives the toddler a hug and a kiss on the forehead. “Take a video and then a screenshot from there,” she advises, lifting the toddler in the air. “It honestly works so well. I’ve been doing this for a while now and I get the best pictures. It’s a game changer.”
“Anyway, here are the results,” says Chantelle. Then she reveals the images she got by taking screenshots of the video. The first photo shows Chantelle kneeling down and kissing the toddler, while the second shows the moment Chantelle’s toddler put his feet on her knees.
Both mother and toddler look happy and relaxed in the adorable candid photos!
