Kate Middleton’s bodice is a brilliant style hack

The Princess of Wales has been serving up her usual platter of elevated looks that are packed with so much style it’s hard to keep quiet about them. Sure, she relies on her tried-and-true pieces time and time again, like pants, blazers, coat dresses, and blouses—when you know what you love, it makes sense to stick with it.

That said, Kate Middleton has a new fashion trick up her sleeve – and it’s one I’m so sad to have slept on for so long. Why? Because it’s brilliant, you h. Her latest pants-blazer-and-blouse moment had a secret trick behind it: Her blouse wasn’t an ordinary blouse—it was a cool blouse, and I’m inspired to invest in a dozen of these now.

From the usual perspective, you would think that Middleton had stuck a mean button in her pants, but this was not the case. Instead, it was actually a bodysuit top, which is exactly what you think it is: a one-piece with a billowing, shirt-like bodice that would fool even the most fashion-conscious person into thinking it’s a real blouse. It technically is, but with a practical touch that’s a total game-changer if you love a seamless tuck (AKA, the bodysuit aspect).

Blouse bodies are brilliant for the simple reason that they solve all tucking frustrations – and let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. We put on a blouse, tuck it in as perfectly as we can, and it just doesn’t fit right. Ugh. Add to that the fact that any slight movement, like lifting your arm or bending down, can cause it to come loose. Middleton’s shirt body, which is from Holland Cooper, will do none of that, as it creates the illusion of a perfectly tucked-in blouse, but will stay put all day, regardless of movement, thanks to the press-stud bottom. Love!
