Passport provides a non-custodial wallet solution and never stores private keys. It also offers seamless signing to enable a better player experience while ensuring that transaction signing can only be initiated by the end user via their device. While web3 games continue to gain traction worldwide, many mainstream players, especially those unfamiliar with decentralized technology, face a number of roadblocks to adoption. Having to store multiple seed sets while interacting with various centralized platforms – all of which can also impose their own high fees – makes jumping into a web3 game more difficult than it should be for most players.
