I’m curvy – I tried a stylist’s hack to look slimmer in sassy sweaters and I’m obsessed

A WOMAN tried a styling trick that completely upgraded her outfits and boosted her confidence.
Content creator Stefanie Maccabee tried a clothing hack she saw a stylist promoting, and she found it transformative.

In a TikTok video, Stefanie said, “I just learned the best styling hack ever,” before kissing a chef.
She was wearing a dark gray long-sleeved sweater that had a slightly chunky knit design.
“I got this sweater from Target a couple of years ago. I never reach for it because it’s a bit rude,” she explained.
As she said this, Stefanie tugged at the extra material of the boxy sweater and raised her arms to show how it really gave her no shape.

The hem also ended up awkwardly between the waist and hips.
Then Stefanie began the sweater transformation by saying that she got advice from a stylist.
“I’ve been looking at Orly Shani, she’s the DIY designer. She gives out styling tips.
“She said to turn your sweater upside down and wear them upside down,” Stefanie added.
She looked confused and skeptical and said, “Girl, your girl is too curvy for that.”
Anyway, she tried the hack, first she grabbed a V-neck striped sweater because she knew the wider neckline would fit over her waist.
When she wore the sweater upside down, it gave it a whole new look. The hem served as the new neckline, and the extra fabric draped to form a cowl-like cut.
And the neckline, which now served as a border, curled in around Stefanie’s waist. She was “obsessed” with the slimming look.

Posing confidently, Stefanie exclaimed, “Excuse me? The height of this style. What?”
Then she tested the hack on the first sweater since she wasn’t keen on stretching the neck.
The once tough style was transformed into “the slouchy sweater of [Stefanie’s] dreams.”
The wide hemline now became an off-the-shoulder neckline and the arms had a new cropped cut. Plus, the neckline fitted Stefanie’s waist perfectly instead of hanging awkwardly.
“I’m going to the coffee shop right now and I feel like a bad b***h, baby,” she exclaimed.
Some people were wary of the hack, saying it simply looked like Stefanie was wearing an upside-down sweater.
But the content creator responded to those comments, writing: “I think it’s cute. Wore it all day and loved it. The best thing is that I have confidence in it and other people’s opinions don’t really matter to me.”

Others complimented Stefanie, with one writing: “If you honestly didn’t say they were upside down in the beginning, no one in the comments would even know. You look AMAZING.”
“I would NEVER think of doing this. But oh my, you look so damn CUTE,” echoed another person.
