An Australian mum has wowed followers with her hack to freshen up artificial grass, which her friends say is “notoriously” difficult to clean.
The busy mum struggled to keep her garden clean until she used a pressure washer to transform the dirty grass and return it to its original colour.
“You haven’t lived until you’ve pressure washed your fake grass!” she said.

An Australian mum has wowed followers with her little-known hack to freshen up artificial grass, using a pressure washer to completely transform her old and dirty grass. She uploaded a photo showing her grass was dark green and dirty where she hadn’t yet cleaned, while the part she washed looked “brand new”
The mother said that pressure washing was the only method that actually cleaned her grass, but admitted that “her whole body was covered in sand and mud” when she was done.

Her followers were extremely impressed with the clever hack.
“These are my goals,” one woman said.
“It looks so satisfying,” wrote another.

Several people say they deodorize their artificial grass by using a vinegar and water solution, as it is safe for animals. One mom does this hack regularly and her grass is spotless (pictured)
Many cleaning fans said they have struggled to remove the smell from the grass, especially when they have dogs.
Several people say they choose a vinegar and water solution to get rid of bad smells, as it is safe for animals.
“I put a two-litre cleaning vinegar in a jug of water and cover the grass. Then I leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes and rinse it off. It freshens it up, said one mother.
She advised residents to use the solution in full shade to ensure it doesn’t dry out or evaporate before it does its job.
Another woman says she vacuums the grass once a week and power washes it occasionally to keep it clean.
However, some followers warned against pressing grass if it has a sandy base.
“Fake grass usually has a sand base. If you pressure wash it, you can destroy it from the bottom, she said.
