In the updated guidelines, Apple says that “apps may use in-app purchases to sell and sell services related to non-fungible tokens (NFTs), such as minting, listing and transfer.”

Apple has also revised the 3.1.5(iii) rule for the App Store to add cryptocurrency exchanges. “Apps may facilitate transactions or transfers of cryptocurrency on an approved exchange, provided they are only offered in countries or regions where the app has appropriate licensing and permits to offer a cryptocurrency exchange,” the rule now states.

Cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Coinbase and Binance, are already on the App Store. With the new guidelines, app developers will now have a little more guidance for their businesses.
