7 BioShock 2 tips to conquer the game

Search hard for goodies in Rapture
EVE Hypos, First Aid Kits, Ammo, Dollars, and other health replenishing items are scattered around Rapture. You can pick up goodies from corpses, filing cabinets, tablecloths, hidden safes, crates and barrels. So you’ll miss out on a lot of goodies if you don’t delve into Rapture’s many nooks and crannies.
There are 26 hidden gene tonics spread across Rapture’s various levels. Such tonics can often be found in rooms and areas that are not on the target’s path. So it’s worth taking some time to check outside rooms and areas you don’t need to go through to complete the objectives.

A gene tonic
BioShock 2 also has five sea slugs that each give you 10 ADAM. These sea snails can be found on the sea floor during the parts of the game Delta wonders beyond Rapture. You’ll have to look around the seabed areas to find them all.
Hack, hack and hack again
BioShock 2 has a simpler hacking system than the first game that you should take full advantage of. It is generally easier and more rewarding to hack into vending machines and security robots BioShock 2 than in the first match. Aside from reduced purchase costs, each machine hacked with the blue bonus will give you a free item. You will save a lot of dollars by becoming a hacking habit.

Hacking a health center
Hacking security cameras and robots is even more crucial to survival in Rapture. There are security cameras and robots everywhere, and turning them all against slicers through hacking will make your life considerably easier in Rapture. Splicers often respawn, and they will often alert hacked bots that will take care of them for you.
So don’t be afraid to hack, hack, hack BioShock 2. You can occasionally lose some health from failed hacks, but that matters little with so many health refill items lying around. To make hacking even easier, equip Care Hacker, Hurried Hacker, Quik-Hack and EZ-Hacker gen tonics. Then you will hack to your heart’s content!
Lure older sisters into hacked cameras and robots
Big sisters are a big threat in BioShock 2 you have to deal with them when they confront you. You can’t avoid fighting them as they will always pursue you wherever you go. If you have hacked all, or at least most, security bots as recommended in the previous one BioShock 2 tips, you can use them to your advantage against Big Sisters.

A murdered older sister
When a big sister comes out to play, move to an area where you hacked a security camera or a bot. Then the older sister will follow you and be attacked by the bots you hacked, making it easier to kill. Protect your allied robots by keeping the sisters calm with the Winter Freeze and Electro Bolt plasmids.
Get snapping with the research camera
BioShock 2 research camera provides all sorts of invaluable bonuses – but only if you use it often and regularly. Many of the camera’s research bonuses increase damage against enemies, ultimately making them easier to kill. You can also get up to nine gene tonics from all the maximum level four research bonuses.
So, whip out the camera throughout the game to take lots of close-up shots before killing enemies. The best time to do it is when the slicers haven’t noticed you. Freezing enemies with Winter Freeze will also buy some time to take shots.

Place mini-turrets, mines and trap nites around ADAM corpses
ADAM is the most crucial substance in BioShock 2. It will be difficult to conquer the game without a good amount of ADAM for plasmid and genetonic upgrades. Regularly collecting it from ADAM corpses with Little Sisters will greatly increase your supply.
But protecting the Little Sisters from the hordes of splicers that attack during their ADAM gathering is one of the more difficult things in BioShock 2. You can’t afford to get killed as often when you do, as you have to retry with depleted supplies. Make sure you are well equipped to protect Little Sisters with plenty of first aid supplies, ammo and EVE. It’s also a good idea to save your game before starting the collection, so you can go back to your save point to try again without depleted supplies if you get killed.

An ADAM corpse
Placing mini turrets, proximity mines, and trap nites around ADAM corpses can also help a lot in protecting Little Sisters. Place mini-turrets, trapenites, and proximity mines in areas around corpses where slashers are likely to have to move through to attack. A good number of Mini-Turrets and Trap Rivets will kill a lot of splicers for you when the Little Sisters collect ADAM.
Save all little sisters to get the good ending
BioShock 3 has alternate good, neutral and bad endings that primarily depend on how many little sisters you save. If you want to see the most positive ending, you must save all the little sisters. You will see a neutral ending if you rescue and harvest the Little Sisters relatively equally. Harvesting all the sisters will give you more ADAM, making the game easier to conquer, but you will see the worst endings.
You will also receive three teddy bear gifts for every four little sisters rescued. These give you three gene tonics and a total of 300 ADAM in total. You will receive 2880 ADAM from harvesting and gathering with all adopted little sisters compared to 2790 for rescue. It only makes a difference of 90 ADAM.

A little sister
The Proud Parent gene tonic awarded from the first teddy bear gift pack is good. That gene tonic increases the amount of ADAM received for harvesting from 40 to 60. Equipping that tonic after rescuing the first four sisters will make up for the ADAM lost by rescuing them. To get the maximum amount of ADAM, you should save the first four sisters to equip the Proud Parent and harvest the rest for a neutral ending.
Save your heavy ammo for the toughest enemies
Most of the weapons in BioShock 2 has standard and less common stronger ammo types. Save most of your best ammo for the toughest enemies in the game, like Big Sisters, Big Daddies, and Brutes. You’ll be able to take them down more easily when you have plenty of armor piercing rounds, heavy rivets, and phosphorous shotguns. Save all your more explosive grenades and rockets for the big boys.

A great dad
