2023 IngressFS Update | Few games
We are pleased to announce that Onsite First Saturday is back. And for those of you who love First Saturday @home – we’re keeping the Online First Saturday option.
Onsite First Saturday is a new experience and different from IFS in 2019.
How to get credit – To verify your attendance and qualify for IFS credit, you must check in with the IFS organizer on site. See the events page for your website for specific meeting locations and requirements. You also need to earn a minimum of 10k AP.
Decoding challenge – During the event, various media items will drop from 11 portals around the base portal listed on your event page. Keep track of each media and which portal dropped it! Your organizer will provide you with a scavenger hunt guide to match the media with the portal password key. Find all the media, match them with the portals and you will earn a valuable local password. (Is anyone else missing the sweet drop of 25 US1??) IMPORTANT – The password can only be redeemed for 3 hours from the time of the event. Don’t miss it!
Restocking portals – 30 minutes after the event ends (2 hours, 30 minutes after start), frackers will be deployed on 2 (or more) portals at your replenishment location. Coordinate with agents to make them P8! Depending on the number of registrations, you may have several frackers. They always come in pairs, so you can have an ENL P8 and a RES P8 if you choose.
Organizers on site – The requirements for incident verification are largely the same as with [email protected]. You can now submit a group photo with agents holding swag/scanners. Participant spreadsheet with confirmation badge and submitted password is still required. You must confirm that an agent has earned at least 10,000 AP before confirming them for the event.
But what about….? Onsite IFS is a brand new First Saturday experience. There is no registration hack, there will not be a double AP reward, and there is no restock portal bonanza hack. To compensate for this, the on-site passwords will have a super load. See Organizer’s guide for details on Mission fast track.
Online IFS – Online IFS will be largely the same as [email protected]. Check the event page where you registered for specific requirements from your local organizers. New requirement: Online participants must top up a minimum of 10k XM each. The organizers are responsible for verifying that the requirements are met for each agent.
Do not forget – Event time and portal details will be locked when registrations close 9 days before the event. Details on the first page of the form will remain open and editable throughout the day of the event.
