’10 years younger’: Instant style hack to knock a decade off your age – ‘game-changer’

Maintaining a youthful appearance is not skin deep – style can also play an important role. Lifestyle and beauty influencer Dominique Sachse took to YouTube to share her top tip for shaving a decade off your look.

She stated, “I’m really excited to do this one for you because I really believe this will be a game-changer.”

She explained that the following “simple” and “basic” tricks will help you look “10 years younger” instantly.

Dominique’s hack is completely free and does not require you to buy new clothes.

Rather, it’s about playing with your existing wardrobe so it works for you.

Dominique believes that women tend to become more “simple” with fashion as they mature and consequently “limit” themselves to what they can wear.

This may be due to concerns that they are too old, or that certain styles, colors and garments no longer suit their bodies.

For this reason, many mature women want to play it safe with an all-black look, which the expert suggests they avoid.

Black is something everyone “universally feels comfortable in,” but it’s possible to overdo it, according to Dominique.

However, Dominique recognized the ease and accessibility of wearing all black.

She stated: “Black is hard, yes it’s slimming, it’s easy, you don’t have to figure out a lot – but here’s the problem.

“It can be very harsh on skin tones that become lighter and more ashy as we age.”

Medicine Plus explained: “With aging, the outer skin layer (epidermis) thins, although the number of cell layers remains unchanged.

“The number of pigment-containing cells (melanocytes) decreases. The remaining melanocytes increase in size.”

The result is “thinner, paler” skin and a clear – “translucent” – complexion.

The problem with all black, according to Dominique, is that it can accentuate the hollows under the neck and eyes.

She encouraged women to “dig the all-black from head to toe,” but the staple color doesn’t have to be abandoned entirely.

Black remains an elegant, timeless color for clothing, shoes and accessories, so it can certainly be used in moderation for a youthful look.

The beauty guru recommended breaking it up with “skin-softening neutrals” like beige, tan or grey.

For example, instead of opting for a daring all-black ensemble, complete with jacket, blouse skirt and shoes, mature women can break this up with a puffer jacket and white blouse instead.

Unlike black, a white blouse or top can brighten up the neck and face.
