The Game of Thrones the prequel series has taken on a life of its own, and is quickly moving out of its predecessor’s shadow. House of the Dragon is an adaptation of George RR Martins Fire and blood book and immerses himself in Targaryen history. The show has a lot of political strategy, intrigue, bloody violence and fantastical elements, including dragons.
Because of these themes that run through House of the Dragon, many video games would be a perfect fit for those who love the show. These games cover several genres, but all explore core concepts that thrive on House of the Dragon.

In addition, NPCs have dynamic routines that can actively influence how missions can be done, offering several alternative routes to take. The dragon age games draw similarities House of the Dragon in their sparing use of dragons, despite their overall importance to the story. The main story about Origin only has three fights with dragons, which gives each fight and encounter that extra gravitas and impact.

Crusader Kings II even got the mod treatment in getting one Game of Thrones variant. It allows players to choose a period from George RR Martin’s extensive history, ranging from Robert’s Rebellion and Clash of Kings to House of the Dragon’s Dance of the Dragons. Although the base game is incredibly fun, this mod is the perfect game for it House of the Dragon fans to explore.

Sid Meier’s Civilization V is the best in the series; it was released in 2010. Similarly to Crusader Kings IIit is perfect for those seeking an immersive experience of strategy and conquest. Civilization V has players leading their own civilization through the ages while dealing with everything thrown their way.
Procedural generation provides a different experience each playthrough, as players seek victory in different ways. This can be achieved, among other things, through research, conquest or diplomacy. The responsibility in this game gives an insight into the pressure of ruling, a concept that is at its core House of the Dragon.

While dragons felt rare and special in Game of Thronesthey appear more often and as an active part of life in House of the Dragon. This normalization of dragons and fantastic elements runs through many movies, series and games, but especially in the success story of 2022, Fire Ring.
Fire Ring is a FromSoftware masterpiece that takes the difficulty and intensity to Dark souls game and make it more accessible and attractive to the masses in a massive open world. With House of the Dragon heading towards Dance of the Dragons’ civil war, combat will soon be a constant presence in the show, shifting to feel more like Fire Ring than first thought.

Since they released the award winning The walking dead, Telltale Games has become known for its trademark storytelling through traumatic and difficult decisions. They have since delved into a number of other franchises, and in 2014 they released Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series.
Telltale’s Game of Thrones introduces a new family into House Forrester, and inserts different Forresters into familiar ones Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon places and situations, from King’s Landing and the Wall to Essos. Familiar faces from the series are even linked into the story, with Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton among several others. Telltale’s Game of Thrones forcing players to make impossible decisions, from which characters to sacrifice or save to choosing between different strategies and courses of action.
